The Florida election results are in and the Republican and Democrats that won primaries on Tuesday could shape the future of gambling in the Sunshine State and online gambling in the US.

Mike “The Mouth” Matusow lived up to his nickname this past week while in the Sunshine State for a poker seminar. Mizrachi stated to one of the local newspapers that Florida poker players are “terrible.”

The Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes have had some down years recently, but odds makers are convinced the public is ready to have these two teams back on top in 2010 in the ACC.

New research that has been done by Nova Southeastern University on Davie, Florida, indicates that a majority of poker players are drawn to performance enhancing drugs.

If California and Florida want to become the first states in the US to regulate online gambling, they had better act quickly. A bill moved out of a New Jersey Senate Committee on Thursday that would create regulated Internet gambling.
